Strange! I thought my V12's had decent dry traction, and pretty good wet traction. I definitely know what you mean about the mushy steering and the super soft sidewalls.

Well, if you hate them I have sort of good news for you.. my rears wore down almost to the wear bars in 4 months. Have you tried raising the pressure in the front more towards 40 psi at least for some better steering feel.

How "used" did you buy them? I have seen some people complain that they were great in the first half of their tread life and then started performing absolutely terribly for the second half. Maybe you got tires that were MUCH older than 1000 kms. Considering my rears lasted as short a time as they did, maybe that's the problem?

As for the PSS, I have never personally run them (yet!), but a do see a lot of people swearing by them as well. I know several people consider the V12's complete crap compared to them, even though I never thought they were all too bad.
