It's the same way in the Corvette world. You have 3 big players...then you have the "generic" ones like OBX.

The problem was if you got a good set...they looked really good. But others would order from the same seller and their set would look nothing like what someone else would buy.

It was analogous to if you got a set made on Monday, you were good. But if your set happened to be made close to quitting time at the end of the work week....the quality would be extremely different.

Most of what you pay for when you buy from *insert big-manufacturing Asian country here* is the level of quality control.

I'm wondering the quality of the metal too - ability to withstand heat cycles, rain, strain from thermal expansion, etc. I haven't ever seen any reports from any manufacturer about cracking headers, but it is a real concern.

Time will tell.
