I've driven an RS3 and it was pretty boring to drive compared to the 1M. Fantastic engine note but the car didn't feel that special. Even my wife commented on how it didn't have any feel to it.
The other thing is they are quite heavy in the front end because of the engine weight. The salesman mentioned he thought the S3 turned in better.
It's a nice car but it's not a replacement for a 1M.
