The problem would be the engine. M3's V8 is too heavy compared to the 135i's tt inline-6. E46 M3's engine is out of quesiton since its 50Ibs more than the new V8. Which means BMW would have to come up with an brand new engine just for this car? Unlikely...
Light weight CSL approach could work, but its prob. not enuff to really sell the car...CSL + 400hp is the selling point. Where's that 400hp egnine?
