Another excellent BMW shop is Ziggy's in Somerville. He replaced a motor on my 135i, did an outstanding job. Prior to that when I had a 330i he's always been a go to place. Not a butcher, a real deal BMW tech who is able to do everything on a dealership level and much more.
Plus he's a really down to earth kind of person. He allows the customers to bring their own parts.
