No, I always put parking brake on, even in automatics. I did have a brand new Acura TSX one time that had a terrible parking brake. I think it used the only the disk pads unlike our cars that have a built in drum also. Anyway, I was coaching soccer and one of the parents says, hey coach, isn't that your car rolling away? I look up and there was my tsx rolling down the hill ever so slowly with the parking brake set, but I left in neutral. That's when I realized genius of our drum disk system.

Lucky that door stopped it.
