I don't know about that tool, but I used INPA to test my DISA valves.
N52 has the newer design in comparison to the older M54 DISA where luckily very low chance of parts breaking off and getting sucked into the motor.
My smaller DISA on the inside of the manifold had a motor failure, and the larger one on the outside had a worn spindle. I bought rebuild kits to refurbish them which should last the rest of the life of the car.
It came with new o-rings and a new valve flap. It was complete aluminium as opposed to the plastic with green rubber edges so I don't think the rubber make too much of a difference, most important thing is the valve actually opens and closes.
