I used to also use Mobil-1 0w40 euro blend oil bought on base over here. But then I started to read up on Castrol oil and decided to give the German made Castrol a shot. I was truly amazed on how much quieter the engine sounds on cold start. Much less metallic noises when cold or hot. AND... my oil temps are about two needle widths lower with the German Castrol. That sold me on G.C.
