Wow, that original post of mine is almost 10 years old now.
What I stated in that post is correct, but for US cars only. Other markets, like Canada, had the M-sport package available from the get go along with other differences in options. For example, all US 135 models had the sunroof included as standard while it was an option in most other markets.
It was definitely a little frustrating to see the M-sport package become available on US cars one model year after my car. I would have loved to have the anthracite headliner.
