Job is done, thanks for your help!
For anyone else with a convertible looking for advice I'll say this:
1. Remove the braces first, it makes the job worlds easier
2. There are 4 bolts on each brace and you do not have to remove the splash guards on the sides of the car.
3. The two larger bolts on the front and rear of the bars are torqued pretty tight so make sure you have a long handled ratchet to get them off.
