I believe it's because the seal actually cures to the paint, which is why it lasts 1 year. If you put that over wax, which melts, it would just melt off with the wax. Basically I: wash>claybar>wash>polish>seal>wax>wax. That is my initial set up. Now I just add a coat of wax every 2 months and wash in between. I do a quick 5 minute dust then speed shine when we are in a hurry. Usually my wife dusts while I do a quick once over with the speed shine, LOL.
