Can't compare back to back in same conditions but had the MPS4's on the Z4M in the rain and it hugged the highway at 60mph almost like it was dry. Was quite impressive.
Both are good in the wet so I'd have no qualms recommending MPSS if MP4S is not available and the price of that tire last time I checked has gone down.

True, MPSS are very good, but having used them back-to-back, I can say without reservation that MPS4S are better and worth the markup if you can get them.
On dry pavement the 4S is slightly better. On wet pavement they are light-years better, and the PSS was no slouch.
