To be honest, the crazy values are mostly around the 1M. If you keep a very clean/low mileage 135i example, you might get some decent money but it's not anywhere near 1M levels.
So my advice is buy the car to enjoy not as an investment. It *might* turn into something like a 2002 but if it does it would be very far into the future, and unlikely given the mass production numbers and so on..
