Apparently it's a bit of a pain in the a-hole to make it work unless you have factory xenons. LED parking lights you'll have the warning coming up on your display every time which happens to me as well. thanks for the heads up on the leds. i'll order some leds compatible with the canbus.
as for the oem led taillights. apparently the led (high version) can be installed to the standard prefacelift like normal (just rearrange the wires but the leds don't work) and First_Matt_White activated the LEDs by tapping into the license plate lighting. here is the translated diy from the german forum:
