2er will be an evolution of the existing vehicle, whereas X6 will be brand new. I'd say the 2er is a relatively easy launch for BMW so I wouldn't worry too much about delay. Also, current trends would suggest the 2er would be a more important vehicle than the X6. Who needs another SUV anyway? The trend is toward compact cars and the 2er would be much higher volume and visibility for BMW...
