My summary would be with a car like ours you need to fully understand the trade offs. The tires may look better, and may in many situations stick better, but the downside would likely be the predictability and controllability of when the rear end breaks looks will probably be more difficult to control. You mention you're a beginner, so I worry about this. If you never turn off the traction control you should be OK, but if you find yourself being aggressive with the car you'll need to be careful.

I myself am not an expert, but I've carefully read the info exchanged here over the last 1 year plus by people like nachob and other senpais. Keep reading, and wait for them to chime in here.
