That is correct, a 5mm spacer would allow for some additional clearance to the front suspension. This spacer puts the wheel and tire in a position where more negative camber will be needed for fender side clearance.
We would recommend for 1 series equipped with KW suspensions, a 5mm spacer and a set of camber plates to allow for more camber.
