Interesting. My clutch plate and flywheel was replaced very early on to try and get rid of an intermittent judder. It's better, but can still get it to do it, especially in reverse. My folks place has a v. steep drive, and sometimes wonder if it's going to make the top.

Mentioned it again when it was last at the dealers, and they said all was to spec, but there was an issue with 1er clutches logged on their system, with possibly some ECU update in the future to cure what they called 'transmission snap'. Basically sounded like clutch couldn't deal with the torque, so ECU would back off a bit. As you say, I'd be a bit wary of remapping mine.

What was the symptom with yours?
