Becuase they can build less engines... why build a 2.5 turbo for 280 hp when they can use the non turbo 3.0ltr
2.0 non turbo, 180 hp
2.0 turbo, 220 hp
3.0 non trubo, 280 hp
3.0 trubo, 330 hp
One less engine.
