I remember with some of my jap cars people talked about going a step colder for big bumps in power. Is this a relevant thing with the n54?

The BMW PPK 2 comes with new plugs which are a colder heat range than the stock plugs. As the PPK tune is much milder than the aftermarket tunes I"m somewhat supprised that I have not seen more threads concerning the heat range with tunes such as JB4,Cobb, ect.
