Well me to start with... I do have several books and mags reviewing and comparing these models so I can quote some names and publications if needed. Just start googling M3 though and read the reviews.
- The E30 was the first M3 which seems to make it more collectible.
- Try comparing on-line prices for E30 and E36 M3s. E30's, particularly the Evo's, seem to be doing much better.
- To a much larger extent than the E36 it won mutilple touring car championships around the world, often against bigger more powerful cars.
- It's significantly lighter than the E36 and generally considered to be a better looker.
- It's considered to be more of a raw "track" car whereas the E36 has been said to be more of a "grand tourer".
