This is something I posted a while back....

Bumping an old thread.. after numerous searches and different opinions on rather a catless DPs install will fail emissions... I decided to go for and go take the test without any DP fix. Before going I scanned the car for I/M monitors and the only one that wasn't ready was the catalyst. Now some people suggested that in Illinois it's an automatic fail if the catalyst are not ready. But that's only true if you're throwing some sort of code for it (P0420-P0439). Conditions of my car were as follows

N54-69000miles
Cobb Stage 2
VRSF downpipes
Stock mids and exhaust
Wagner FMIC
ETS Intakes
VRSF chargepipe
Stock turbos

After the test was performed at the emission station the results were exactly the same as when I scanned them... all monitors ready except catalyst. Got the "PASS" paper and I was on my way. Hope this helps some of you guys that are coming up for testing. Again not everyone's conditions will be same if you have multiple monitors not ready you will definitely fail. If they see a MIL On you'll fail. Make sure you complete a drive cycle if you have recently reset your codes, or performed a battery change. I didn't follow the cycle exactly but did the best I could for about 2 weeks 300 miles or so and that seemed to do the trick. To set all monitors after I had a misfire and cleared the code.

Update as of 03-31-19 I have since went back again to emissions and once again passed with same exact results. No issues
