No. But I have seen a few 1Addicts in EU/Germany say that you need a FWM3 module(plus it needs to be coded, if its a new part from BMW).
Perhaps check over at the
1erforum.de site. I think there are many threads on this.
But you already have your answer from two dealers. So you know you need a new footwell module.
