It's the autocross. I had my rotors & pads done at 41651 miles. Garage wanted them done just before a BMW Club HPDE. Pads I think were still 50-60%. All in all the pads & rotors still looked perfect. No HP driving to this point.
I too have done the Tail of the Dragon [2016] but likely never used the brakes as I was going slow. I did not want to ever get too close to the center line b/c a motorcycle may be coming the other way, very fast and hugging the center line.
I now have 63,544 miles on the car and the front brakes [Cool Carbon] therefore have 22134 miles. They have 3¼ HPDE days on them. They measure 8mm and have some slight evidence of heat crumbling so will keep an eye on them.
So my car now has 63,544 miles, it's an 08 but it's winter stored every year for 4-5 months so useage wise, it more like a 2011 or even 2102.
