I still think that the S55 sounds horrid–even if it's technically superior–it's too farty-sounding and has an un-BMW-straight-six-like gravelly sound that just doesn't compare to the warm, smooth tone of the N54/N55, and doesn't compare to the sonorous sound of the N51/N52/N53...
