A couple of weeks ago I had Rob from Speed Logic install an M4 flywheel for my DCT 135i and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience from start to finish.

The BLUF: The reviews are legit, Rob is professional, an absolute master for the n54/n55, and will work on your car like it was his own.

Slightly longer version: I purchased an M4 flywheel a few months ago and I was struggling to find the time to do the install. I gathered up all of the replacement parts and special tools I would need. With a family, the windows to work on my car are much shorter than they used to be, mainly because I want to spend time with my family instead of in the garage. Finally, I came up with a plan. Take off a few days of work and try to knock out the install. Then I started thinking about: what if my rear main seal is leaking, what if I need an extra set of hands, what if i don't finish in the couple of days off I am using? A couple of days turned into potentially weeks or months. I started accepting the fact that it may make more sense to outsource this job. A tough pill to swallow since I enjoy the satisfaction of working on my own car. It felt good when I finally finished my PS2 install, my RSFBs, my suspension (three times lol). This job just seemed more practical to have an expert do, that would do the install as carefully and meticulously as I would do.

So I started researching and found Rob at Speed Logic. Spoke to him on the phone and he assured me he would take care of my car. He was very flexible, agreeing to use the parts that I already spent money on, even though he stocks all of them. We made an appt for a Friday, and he said it would be done no later than that same Sunday. And that is exactly what happened. I drove up from Carlsbad on Friday, took the train back home, and on Sunday morning I received a text from Rob saying my car was ready. Of course he took the time to look my car over as well. He told me before hand that if he saw any issues that should be fixed before installing the flywheel, like the rear main seal, he would give me a call. Luckily, there were no issues so no additional work was required.

If you need a shop, this is your place. I have never interacted with such a professional car shop owner. Thanks for doing a great job Rob.
