Was looking to get a new car first half 08, and 335 coupé was going to be it. Not a perfect fit, but loved the engine.

Then along comes this. With the "2 kids under 3", rear room not a big issue.

Engine.... same a 335.

Price.... as said, 30-40k cheaper than the 3 series.

I'll say it again. For me, an absolute no brainer.

BMW (US) might have erred by pricing the 1 and 3 so close, and I am sure it's because the 3 is underpriced to capture market against the luxury Japanese brands.

Besides, for me, its not about buying it for what everyone else perceives about the car, but buying it for what I think of the car. Who gives a toss if someone think's it's an "entry level" BMW. We know the truth. An understated baby M.

This car will go down in legend.
