Why would the future value of the 1M be comparatively low?
One possibility, BMW may be looking to roll out the next version of the 1M within 36 to 48 months. Doing so would definitely impact the future value of the current 1M as reflected in these lease rate residuals. Anyone have any insight on the schedule of the next 1M?
Alternatively, BMW sees a substantial lease profit opportunity (likely).
Lastly, the longest term residuals appear to be greater than there model cousins reflecting the expectation that the 1M will retain a greater portion of its value in 5 plus years. I believe this may coincide with other M models (?).
