Yeah I saw that the other day, hoping he might have heard back by now, or at least additional mentions will at some point get their attention.

I had been considering Mfactory for a while, and I understand their position regarding the last round of recalls and labor costs, etc. But I do hope they can at least keep up their reputation I've heard that they have great customer service generally.

Maybe on this one off, they can offer a full labor reimbursable including forensic investigation into what might have happened. It didn't sound like this was a unit bought a long time ago and never sent in to get fixed. This sounded like a fairly recent purchase to me (one that should not have any issues), but I could be wrong.
