Well, for the E46 you first have to remove the microfilter from under the hood first. Its just behind the dashboard, all the way in front. Then theres a predrilled spot for you to mount the siren and connect it.
In the trunk, behind either the left or right panels behind the wheelwells, is a spot for you to mount the tilt sensor. Then finally, you open a little compartment in the overhead inside the cabin where the courtesy lights are and connect the control module to a pre-colored wire harness. That's basically it.
But then this all has to be set in motion by the dealer, who still has to activate the alarm ($$$$). And once again, we're talkin' E46 here...things may have changed.
