Yeah, the darkness is pretty much uncontrollable with that stuff. I did my best to do a light coat, but it still came out super dark. That's only 1 coat. I can lighten them up with some wetsanding and rubbing compound. I agree, they are too dark. It does however make the car flow better from the side to the rear and makes it look wider from the back. I like the blackline tail lights as well, but this was quick and free for the time being. I was surprised, the lights shine through without impeding of light whatsoever. You wouldn't even know I had them tinted at night time with the lights on.
