I think that the dealers who were offered possible additional cars want to fill those orders as soon as possible in order to get the extra customers that they know will be coming after this car. To me it sounds as if these cars are order only and NONE will be sitting on the lots. Just my .02.

I think that dealer also stated that there were only 2 in the order bank and they were trying to get a 3rd for the lot. I do not see BMW sending 'extra' 1ms when there are still people waiting having paid their deposit.
