Just picked up a 2009 135i space gray automatic with 65000 miles 9 days ago. My 1st pre-own vehicle purchase. Had to get the auto because I am giving it to my daughter in one year when she turns 16. RRT racing in Sterling, Virginia did a full diagnostic and the car came back as a winner. The only problem is low pressure fuel pump sensor is cracked ( I was told very common). Getting it taken care of next week.
The car was a one female owner for 6 1/2 years, purchased not leased. I plan to maintain it religiously like all my other vehicles.
In the last 20 years, I've had 2 Porsches, 3 AMGs, 3Ms, and RR and they have never given me one bit of problem, except RR. Btw, Range Rover was a pile of crap. Take care of them and they will take care of u. My philosophy tells me that when buying used, always get the one that is purchased and not leased. They seem to care more. I've only purchased and I took great care of them, since my intention at the time was to keep it forever. Just my $0.02.
