I've had them for over a year now through torrential downpours, snow, sleet, pressure washing, etc.... Never had an issue. You should be mindful when washing the car that you don't soak them but due to the angle of the filters and hood it's not an easy thing to get water into.
If you have any doubts you could also put the small plastic cowl over them
