I would say I think there are a lot of similarities between the 1M, 135is and a E46 M3. All great cars. Only downside of the 1M is the low production numbers. It is more exciting than a 135is, for sure, and easy to live with as a daily driver.
My vote would be for a late model 911, just to have a different driving experience. As great as our BMWs are Porsche's are just at a different level in terms of fit and finish, and refinement. Further I would not have any worries beating on a 911, because they made lots of em, it's a modern car and it will take the abuse. Reality is in 2 or 3 years time your 911 will not have lost much value and you can still by a low mileage 1M with your proceeds.
