It's an inherent trait of the RS3. Don't want shoulder wear, either stretch 'em, or pick a different tire. I'd rather have a 255/35 that actually fits, versus a 245/40 that won't fit and will exacerbate the shoulder issue in the first place. The 35 sidewall will keep the tire more taut than a the taller 245/40.
