I am with Jim D. Though it takes me much longer because I spend time looking at other stuff. Do I have leaks, is there dust that I can wipe off, is the undercarriage as clean as I would like it?
First oil change after I got the car I spent nearly an hour wiping grease and dirt off the painted surface in the wheel well (which meant taking wheels off). That kind of thing makes me more comfortable with condition of car. Do the same with my other vehicles, too, now that maintenance/warranty agreements have ended.
