It's removable, basically the undertray/ashtray is bolted by two torx screws underneath as you can see in one of the photos I posted. I believe it's T20 bolts. You can transfer over your current undertray/ashtray to the new trim. Here's the thread that properly guides you through the process of removing/exchanging trims on the 1 series.
