My car has 192k miles on it, and I'm still on the original clutch. It feels the same way you describe, but I'm gathering that that's just how our clutches are. There's a shop near me that has a race-prepped E90 328i that's done an actual 150k+ pure track miles, and they only recently had to replace the clutch. BMW does a good job with clutch durability.

When I eventually have to replace it, I'm probably going to do the Valeo single mass conversion for a little extra longevity, and reduce future replacement cost (DMFW's cannot be resurfaced like SMFW's can).
