I noticed this first when my radar detector wouldn't turn on - it taps into the power at the rain sensor area. It was stuck off and seemed to have no voltage coming at all when I tested the leads. And then I noticed the compass on the mirror was off. And then I noticed my horn wasn't working anymore either when using the steering wheel.

What could be the reason? It's intermittent - so a blown fuse wouldn't make sense. What's weird is that sometimes it does work when I am away from the car for a bit and turn the ignition on. It all comes on.. and then I start the car and after a couple minutes - it all turns off again.

Could it be a symptom of a bad battery?? That's the only thing left in my mind but it seems so weird that the car mostly runs fine otherwise.
