If it doesn't fit, just throw an adapter pipe in. Too easy.
I'm on my iPhone so can't see if you're in Sydney but if you are, get Advan to do it. Welded my PE, and fab'd an adapter, modified a rear muffler and tips for a mate with an E30.
Chris there is a very, very skilled welder and fabber.
