Just because it is made by the same company, does not mean it is made to the same quality.

I just bought a bunch of Japanese made genuine Honda filters. The label on the box even states to make sure the old gasket is removed.
Hopefully Mann's acquisition of Wix doesn't lead to poorer quality filters sold as Mann Filters.
