I have an 11' 135i M-sport
I bought a set of 372s from a fellow forum member to do exactly what you describe. The 372s are 7.5 in the front and 8.5 rear.
I went 225/40R18 Blizzaks
The rears do look stretched and the rim does stick out, but the Bridgestone site did confirm the 225's can fit up to a 9.
