Audi has petitioned DOT to have the rules changed. Since the 1960s or maybe the 50s Federal Law requires a separate switch for high beams and low beams. With todays technology that manual function seems archaic.

The euro headlight coding besides being able to get live traffic updates in Europe is well worth the money.
