Here is my Convertible count of cars having the P7MFA EDITION SPORT Sports Edition VIN code.
Of the 1,118 VINs I checked from May 25, 2012 to July 7, 2013 I found 214 with the Sports Edition Code. Once again a very small portion of these are the Canadian 135i M-Sport as introduced in April of 2013 and discussed here

Unlike the coupe VIN these all appeared to be in the VM##### range
for example WBAUN7C56D
