They have new versions of oil specs out, LL-04 and LL-14, though most BMW gasoline engines in the US still require the LL-01. LL-14 is a "fuel economy" spec and a 0w-20 grade spec. LL-04 is a low SAPS oil for countries/fuels with ultra low sulfur levels.
