When we had an F1 GP a few years back Schumacher would ride a motorcycle through this road after every U.S. race. He was quoted as saying it was one of the best roads in the world. If it's good enough for him...
I'm lucky to live in the middle of a ton of excellent roads and little traffic most of the year. (It gets worse each year!) The Dragon's Tail has received so much publicity over the past 5 or 6 years it's really pointless to go up on the weekend in the spring, summer, and fall. It's an hour and 10 minutes from my house so the occasional mid-week dusk visit is nice.
