As much as I want the car, I will wait until all of the hype is worn off and buy one closer to dealer invoice vs some huge amount over MSRP like most brand new M cars go for.
This was at least my experience when the M Roadsters came out. I bought mine at full MSRP used 1.5 years old. You could not find them new or used. Then a year or so later the market got flooded with lease returns and the price dropped like crazy.
This is the same as when the E46 M3 came out, and the E92 M3. But, the intial hype on the E92 did not seem to last as long...maybe the economy.
If I remember correctly people were selling their spots on the waiting list on eBAY and places like that for $1000s on the E46...hmmmm...maybe a way to make some money.
