I doubt running the LL-04 stuff once is going to cause any catastrophic failure, but I don't have any problem telling my shop what to put in my car. I used to bring Euro Mobil1 to a local oil-change spot. After about a year and a half of that they started carrying it themselves!

Not sure what you mean by BMW house. But, they work on BMW's all the time. And mostly work on BMW's but also work on other brands like Audi .. etc.
