Well - the car in Chicago (w/o the oil cooler in the wheel well) did have ZSP so it should be a 150 MPH car. I suspect that the wheel well oil cooler is the legendary 'supplemental oil cooler' and I suspect it's for markets where sustained high-speed driving can occur. Nothing official, but that's the only thing I can think of.

Remember, BMW has brought a number of pre-production and non-US spec cars to meet the demand for autoshows and photography. There is a BMW event at Laguna Seca this coming week where hopefully bryan@mworks can pigeonhole an engineer and waterboard him. Torture is a perfectly valid procedure to get to the bottom of our oil cooler conundrum. ; -)
